CAMP TRIP TO DUP MUSEUM
We all arrived at Sandra's to load into two cars (thank you Annette for driving) and headed out for Salt Lake. We went over the top to avoid construction on US 92. Beautiful view of the Draper Temple and the Salt Lake valley. Everyone brought an umbrella so it wouldn't rain on us -- we had cloudy skies but no rain.
The DUP museum has been remolded and very impressive. Laura Taylor put together a scavenger hunt for us to find many items covered in lessons this year. We found swords made from sword fish and tea pots from 1660. Brigham Young's wagon was located on the bottom level and despite the aggressive elevator we proved that 8 of us could fit into an elevator meant for 4. We persevered and found the wagon plus a 1901 fire engine. Beverly and Cheryl got lost on the 2nd floor in the doll room but were found in time to head out for lunch.
After our adventurous time parking and arriving at the church office building, we enjoyed our lunch in the cafeteria. With so many great choices, we all picked our favorites. Audrey and Mary Ann choose dessert first. The soup, enchiladas, salads and sandwiches were wonderful. After taking a couple more pictures we hit the road for home.
We greatly missed those who couldn't come and look forward to our luncheon and program at Mutual Dell on July 11.
